Working with Partners in our Communities

Venture recognises the value of working with partners in our communities. We aim to work with other landlords, agencies and individuals to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses in the local neighbourhoods in which we operate. To this end, venture takes an active role in supporting and contributing to both citywide and local strategies designed by the Local Authority to make our neighbourhoods greener, safer & better areas to live and work in.

Venture has established a “Putting Neighbourhoods 1st” Group which meets regularly to discuss the issues and bring forward proposals to tackle the problems that can blight neighbourhoods and communities. This Group is comprised of other Registered Social Landlords, Police, Local Authority, Residents Groups, Youth Services & Local Antisocial Behaviour Units.

Venture attends a number of local “Citysafe” meetings. These meetings are organised and chaired by the Police as their remit is to tackle the underlying issues of criminal activity within the neighbourhoods.

We also work with Fusion 21, the Future Jobs Fund initiative, providing the opportunity to gain skills and a meaningful work experience with a local employer, demostrating our commitment to community investment. Posts are located within our Building Services and Housing Management teams.
