I think there is a need for residents with communal hallways to have fire extinguishers placed in the hallways in case of fire and simple information on how to use them. I think this matter is of extreme importance and I am very surprised that it has been overlooked. |
On the advice of the Fire Service we removed all fire fighting equipment from communal hallways, it is their advice that residents, in the event of a fire, should leave the building as quickly as possible. All our flat doors offer a minimum of 30 minutes fire protection. The Association has a programme to ensure that within the next 5 years each communal hallway has a full fire protection system. It is important that any Fire Doors are not jammed open. |
