Paying your rent
Your Tenancy Agreement makes it clear, that you are responsible for ensuring that your correct rent is paid on time. Methods of payments are listed below. If you need it, Venture will provide assistance and advice in helping you make a claim for Housing Benefit, and will confirm how much you need to pay.
If you make a claim for Housing Benefit, it is your responsibility to ensure that your Housing Benefit claim form is completed and returned to the Housing Benefit department, and relevant documentation is provided on time.
During the first week of your tenancy, a rent card will be sent to you. However, if for any reason you do not receive your rent card or it is mislaid, please telephone the Rent Payment Team at Venture immediately on freephone 0800 389 4438
Venture Housing Association takes a firm but fair approach to rent collection. If for any reason you are unable to maintain your agreed rent payments, you must contact the Rent Payment Team immediately to prevent legal action from being taken. Ignoring the problem will not make it disappear. Your home is at risk if you fail to maintain your rent.
Methods of rent payment
All enquiries regarding your Rent Account should be directed to Venture’s Freephone Rent Payment Helpline on 0800 389 4438
Direct Debit - Direct debit is the simplest, most reliable and convenient way to pay your rent. You can choose when your rent can be paid, either weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or monthly. If you would like to set up a Direct Debit, please call us on Freephone 0800 389 4438 and we will arrange it with you.
Telephone payments by Card -You can pay by phone using a Debit Card, by calling allpay.net on 0870 243 3434 between 09:00am and 05:30pm, you will need your reference number to hand, which can be found on your rent statement and payment card, alternatively call us on Freephone 0800 389 4438 and we will provide it to you.
Housing Benefit - We accept payments directly from the Housing Benefit Office, you will need to make the claim to that Office and specify that payment be sent to Venture Housing.
Post Office - You can use your payment card free of charge at any Post Office, by handing over your card with either cash or cheque made payable to Post Office Limited.
Internet - You will need your payment card to hand, and can make a payment via www.allpay.net, using the details on the payment card.
Payment Card - You can also use your payment card free of charge, when paying with cash at any outlet displaying the e-Pay or Pay Zone symbols, cheques may be accepted at the discretion of the outlet concerned.
By Post - You can pay by cheque, your cheque should be made payable to ‘Venture Housing Association Limited’

Venture Housing Association will issue a rent statement to each tenant every 3 months. If you would like an up to date rent statement at any time, please contact the Rent Payment Team.
