Dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour
Venture takes the problems of antisocial behaviour seriously. It has a range of measures at its disposal to tackle cases of antisocial behaviour.
The Antisocial Behaviour Act [2003] defines antisocial behaviour as conduct which is “capable of causing nuisance or annoyance to any person directly or indirectly which may affect the housing management functions of a relevant Housing Association”.
The variety of neighbour nuisance & antisocial behaviour cases brought to our attention, and the range of possible solutions to resolve these cases, are enormous.
Therefore, it must be borne in mind that every case is individual and that ALL elements of each case must be considered carefully.
Venture’s housing management staff are provided with adequate training, support and resources to ensure quick and effective action is taken against those causing nuisance to others. Every case is investigated thoroughly. A conciliatory rather than confrontational approach will be taken whenever possible.
