Repairs
Before reporting a repair, please note that there are a number of items that you, as a tenant, are responsible for. In some cases responsibilities may vary, for example if you are a tenant in one of our sheltered schemes, but in general your responsibilities include:
- Light bulbs, fuses, minor plaster repairs and blocked waste pipes.
- Replacement of lost keys
- Glazing, except in certain circumstances
- Internal redecoration, except in certain specific circumstances
- Anything in your home that belongs to you.
If you are in doubt about a repair please call us for clarification.
There are a number of ways that you can report your request for repairs to us:
- During normal office hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday) call our repairs hot line number 0151 261 2199
- For out of hours emergencies please call 0151 261 2199
- Call in at our reception at the Boaler Street office.
- By letter addressed to the Building Services Department / Manager
- To a Venture Housing member of staff during a visit
- Via the website (not for emergency calls) and the repair team need 72 hours notice for any repair coming through via the website.
What information do we need from you?
When you request a repair we need the following information from you:
- Your name, address and telephone number
- What you think is wrong, in as much details as possible
- When someone will be at home or where we can get a key to access your property.
