Emergency Repairs
To report an out of hours emergency repair please call the regular repair line on 0151 261 2199 where your call will be automatically transferred to our out of hours call centre.
When is a repair an emergency?
Emergencies include:
- Defects which put someone’s health, safety or security at immediate risk
- Defects which could seriously affect the structure of the building
Emergencies would include:
- Serious fires
- Major electrical faults e.g. loss of supply
- Burst pipes
- Blocked main drains
- Floods
- Total loss of heating during the winter months
- Gas leaks / faulty gas appliances.
In the event of a gas leak switch off all appliances and contact Transco immediately on freephone 0800 111999. You should also contact Venture Housing to report the problem.
If you report an emergency repair, please do not go out (unless there is fire or other potentially hazardous situation, in which case you should tell the person you report the repair to where you can be contacted, for example at a nearby neighbours house).
Please note that, in order to try to jump the queue for repairs work, some tenants have been giving false or misleading information, in order to try to ensure that the call is classified as an emergency report. This practice is dangerous, as potentially it could divert our emergency response team away from genuine emergencies. Any tenant who has deliberately provided us with false or misleading information will be charged the cost of the call-out.
