19 August 2010 - Venture Housing Association is participating in the National Fraud Initiative which is a data matching exercise operated by The Audit Commission. About Venture

Venture was formed in the early 1970's by a group of Liverpool professionals working on a voluntary basis. The first development of two bedroom flats was complete in 1974 and, in 1976, the Association appointed its first full-time member of staff. Today, the association owns and manages 1300 homes in Liverpool and the Wirral and has a future development programme for the provision of a further 100 dwellings over the next three years

Venture now employs 38 members of staff but the organisation is still controlled by a voluntary Board of Management who do not receive payment for their services.
